Went out on my friend’s boat today and then watched the Lakers take a major L. On my way back home, I was driving through Venice and I heard a car bumping Wale”s “100 MILES AND RUNNING”, specifically the “Camp Lo” joint. I think the person had New Jersey plates. I tried to turn around but it wasn’t safe. I gotta say, it was pretty cool. If the person bumping it was reading it, leave a comment or something lol. And for your listening pleasure…

Edit: This video was supposed to be a slight homage to the original Justice “D.A.N.C.E.” video. We weren’t trying to copy it, we were just inspired by it and tried to expand on it. This is a video for a remix…off a mixtape. Keep that in mind people.
DJ MAF hit me up today to tell me about this mash up. Little did he know I’d heard it months ago. Not sure why I didn’t post it but this song almost made the mixtape, it just ended up not fitting sonically with the rest of the project.

This is my jam. I always toss this in my old school sets. This was a staple on Tuesday nights at Star Bar back in ATL.
Loved the original, this remix is fire too. I kinda wish they had flipped the beat a little.
Peep the original video. Hype Williams at his best. If you notice, Kenna wears a black Volcom hat in most of the scenes that aren’t a performance piece. That’s like his trademark. I was in the Volcom store on La Brea a few months back and asked the salesgirl if she knew Kenna. She was like “yeah, he always comes in and buys the same hat.” I was like, “wait a minute, this dude wears this hat everywhere and yall don’t give them to him for free?” She’s like “no, but he gets a discount.” So funny.

Went to a midnight showing last night. I got there 30 minutes early and it seemed like all the seats were taken. However, my hawk vision spotted an opening 4 rows from the top. I quickly made my way up the stairs to ask the couple if the 3 seats surround them were taken (2 on the woman’s side, 1 on the man’s side). They each indicated the seats on either side of them were open. I kindly asked the man if he’d mind moving down one so I could sit next to my friend. He said he minded. Who says that? It’s one seat. So I then ask if this second seat next to his ugly wife/girlfriend is open, as it’s covered in a purse and jacket. It was. These people were taking up an additional three seats at a midnight showing of INDIANA JONES. Who does that?
Well, the movie sucked. It was too long. It looked horrible (was lit very poorly…pay attention to the lighting coming through the windows in every interior scene). The action was *yawn*. And the ending? ABSURD. Honestly, don’t waste your time or money. I will say this…how do you fuck that one up?
I voted for Obama in the California primary so I’d like her to fall back too.
I miss it.
