I’m going out of town for 3 weeks and I always like to leave my apartment clean so when I return, it feels peaceful. Well, as part of my Saturday cleaning, I reorganized my closet which included moving my formal attire to the far left (the days of me wearing a suit to work everyday are a distant memory) and straightening out my footwear situation. I had all these ikea wall shelves that my boy Robby was supposed to install months ago but ended up only doing one and butchering my wall on number 2 (see top left above closet), so I made some makeshift shelves at the bottom of my closet and I’m feeling pretty good about it.

To the person who can identify the most sneakers in my closet (must identify different colorways too), I got a pair of free tickets to Wale’s show at Highline Ballroom on December 9th with UCB, Kid Cudi, Colin Munroe, Che Grand, Mark Ronson and Nick Catchdubs. Submit answers via email to RSVP@elitaste.com. Winner will be announced as soon as someone answers correctly. If nobody gets all of them, I will award the tickets to the high score. I suggest looking at every picture very carefully.

From Hypebeast.com “Based on the popular Mercurial Vapor IV’s, Nike Football will be releasing a new version of the football boots called the Mercurial Vapor Rosa in pink. The playful commercial features French football midfielder Franck Ribery sporting the new pink Mercurial Vapors playing as Pink Panther. “One and only truly original” indeed. If you truly want to stand out in the soccer field, these are definitely the boots to get. Available now at nikestore.com.”
At the height of the American beach volleyball phenomenon, the movie business blessed us with a gem of a movie called SideOut. Starring C. Thomas Howell and Kathy Ireland (and Bernie from Weekend At Bernie’s), SideOut is an amazing time machine of a movie. Watch it if you can. Very entertaining.
Featuring 2Pac…that Karl Kani sweatshirt is classic!
This guy needs his own show.
You heard rappers talking about “oh I read The Art of War and that’s how I made it” or “I read the 48 Laws of Power and that’s why I’m 50 Cent.” And don’t get me wrong, there is definitely stuff to be learned from both of those books. However, you want something that’s really gonna put you on your head? Go read The War of Art by Stephen Pressfield. This book changed my life in one day when I read it last month. Since then I’ve put about 10 people onto this book and it has had the same effect on all of them. Not only will you see yourself in parts of the book, it will help you identify with other people in your life. This book is easy to practically apply to your life on a daily basis in order to win your inner creative battles. Go buy it ASAP if you are ready for a change.
