2001…Produced by Mark Ronson off her album Everybody Got Their Something…one of my favorite tracks ever. Video is stunning; sells her really well. I may or may not have developed a crush on her after seeing this video and may or may not have been a little starstruck when I met her on Ronson’s tour. Hey, I have no problem admitting I’m a fan.
I had nothing to do with this…someone just sent me THE LINK. Check out Ricky’s blog

A CAPTCHA is a program that can generate and grade tests that humans can pass but current computer programs cannot. For example, humans can read distorted text as the one shown below, but current computer programs can’t. The term CAPTCHA (for Completely Automated Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) was coined in 2000 by Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum, Nicholas Hopper and John Langford of Carnegie Mellon University. At the time, they developed the first CAPTCHA to be used by Yahoo.
I was looking for some tickets on Ticketmaster yesterday when I was presented with a CAPTCHA. I caught a glance of the text to the right of the CAPTCHA and was kinda blown away

About 200 million CAPTCHAs are solved by humans around the world every day. In each case, roughly ten seconds of human time are being spent. Individually, that’s not a lot of time, but in aggregate these little puzzles consume more than 150,000 hours of work each day. What if we could make positive use of this human effort? reCAPTCHA does exactly that by channeling the effort spent solving CAPTCHAs online into “reading” books.
So they use CAPTCHAS to digitally translate text from old books? How noble of them. I guess Ticketmaster isn’t all bad. Read more about it HERE

Shouts to Brian. Check it out
Wale and I were talking about this video earlier today. This video was so amazing when I was 15 years old. We were reminiscing how shiny it was; look at that tank! Someone definitely got hurt making this video, quite possibly from the rotating turret on the tank. And look at P and Silkk’s outfits. They actually fit! Kinda crazy. Silkk’s flow was ridiculous.
Just saw this for the first time…great video.
Spotted this on Daniel Merriweather’s blog and had to repost. Goes from rock to hip hop to jungle. It’s crazy.
Crazy. I was in 9th grade living about 10 minutes from the Petersen Museum. Video is pretty boring but it’s interesting to see what people were wearing, what songs they were playing and think about the fact that shortly after this was taken, BIG was gunned down outside. Creepy.
I downloaded it while I was in Australia last month but the file was corrupt and I never got around to downloading it again until last night. It’s very easy listening. He’s really more of a singer that can rap. The production is great, it’s great to listen to, but nothing on there that makes me rewind. Love the Lykke Li duet. I just want to go on the record saying that I posted his Comeback Season mixtape on here almost a year ago and someone named bassmasterlive had the audacity to give me shit for it. See! I was right! He was gonna blow up.
